NCH Salty Deck Invitational MUGEN Tournament

1st Place receives a Steam Deck 64GB + Docking Station ($500 value). All entrants are INVITE ONLY. Players can withdraw if desired but registration is not open to the public. Entrants do not even have to participate in person for a chance to win, but are encouraged to do so.

Before the streamed portion, the bracket is narrowed down to top 32, with all matches determined by simple coinflip, then top 32 matches are handled Salty Bets style, with AI avatars fighting on players' behalf. Rules are as follows:

* All sets are FT3 (Best of 5), Single Elimination

* Top 4 is FT4 (Best of 7)

* Characters are selected at random for every game and controlled by AI

* Players get 1 character re-roll for every game that they may choose whether or not to use at the time of character selection (Player 1 randomselects, chooses whether to re-roll, then Player 2 randomselects and does the same)

* Electing not to use the re-roll cumulatively carries it over to the next game, but leftover re-rolls after winning the set do not carry over to the next set.

* If a player is not present within the #tournaments channel in the New Challenger discord to make a call whether to "Keep" or "Re-roll", they are given a 1 minute grace period during which the Twitch Chat is polled to make the decision for them.

* Every game, Player 1 and Player 2 swap sides, so as to mitigate 2nd pick advantage

This tournament has a hefty prize, but it's purely for fun and intended to be mostly random by design. Have fun, and best of luck!
